Dr. Mary Williamson, BVetMed
Originally from Kentucky in the USA, Mary graduated from Royal Veterinary College in 2016. She then made the move to Australia, gaining experience in general practice before completing a rotating internship in surgery and internal medicine at Southpaws Specialty Hospital.
Mary joined the PRVC team in 2020 and now co-owns the clinic with her husband, Jay. She has a strong interest in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and oncology, and is known for her thoughtful, thorough approach to patient care.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys hiking and spending time with her husband and their two young children, William and Charlotte. At home, she’s kept busy by her beloved pets—Penny and Brady the whippets, Archie the Saluki, and three cats, Max, Leo, and Chase.
Dr. Steve Le Nepveu, BVSc
Originally from Yorkshire, UK, Steve graduated from Liverpool in 1993 and moved to Australia over a decade ago with his wife and two children. He is known for his approachable nature and strong communication skills, with a particular interest in wound management.
Now working as a permanent veterinarian, Steve brings a wealth of experience, including previous practice ownership. He enjoys the variety of general practice and, if you’ve met him, you’ll know he doesn’t take life too seriously!
Dr. Jo Lubberink, BVSc
Dr. Jo Lubberink graduated from University of Melbourne in 2012. She began her career in regional Victoria before spending time working in the UK, and has also gained valuable experience in shelter medicine.
Jo has a keen interest in surgery and is passionate about helping pet owners clearly understand their pets’ health and care.
At home, she shares her life with her partner and her 12-year-old Coolie, Angus, who is a familiar face around the clinic. In her spare time, Jo enjoys hiking, gardening, travelling, and spending time in nature.
Dr. Georgie Karidis, DVM
Dr. Georgie Karidis is a recent graduate of the University of Melbourne and a true local, having grown up in nearby Mentone. She has a strong interest in behaviour and is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her clients and patients.
Georgie’s warm, bubbly nature brings a fresh energy to Patterson River Veterinary Centre. At home, she shares life with her 10-year-old Groodle, Indi, and in her spare time enjoys stand-up paddleboarding—often with Indi by her side. If you spot them at the local beaches, be sure to say hello!
Dr. Emma Villanti, DVM
Dr. Emma is a graduate of The University of Melbourne and is proud to serve the local community she calls home. She also works part-time at a nearby emergency centre, giving her valuable experience in managing urgent and complex cases.
Known for her calm and confident nature, Dr. Emma strives to make every visit as stress-free as possible for both pets and their owners.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three young children, embracing the busy and rewarding life of a local family.

Jay and his wife, Dr. Mary, purchased the clinic in January 2025. He brings a wealth of experience in clinic management and client care, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for both clients and their pets.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his family, following a variety of sports, and travelling.
